Tennessee Fishing Spots
Affiliate Disclosure
What gets a commission, and what that does not change.
Some links on this site are affiliate links
Tennessee Fishing Spots participates in affiliate programs with fishing retailers. If you click one of those links and go on to make a purchase, this site may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and the price you pay is the same either way.
Affiliate links appear alongside links that earn nothing at all. The independent bait shops, marinas and guide services listed on this site are listed because they serve the water in question, and almost none of them run an affiliate program of any kind.
What it does not change
Commission does not decide which counties get pages, which access points get listed, which guides appear in the directory, or what gets written about any of them. Every one of Tennessee’s 95 counties has a page, including the ones with no tackle shop and nothing to sell.
Where a lake fishes badly at a particular time of year, this site says so. Where the nearest decent water is in another county, it says that too.

Why this notice is on every page
The Federal Trade Commission’s Endorsement Guides require that a material connection between a publisher and a seller is disclosed clearly and conspicuously, and the FTC’s own guidance is explicit that a single disclosure on a home page is not sufficient, because visitors arrive directly on individual pages.
That is why a short disclosure appears on every page that carries affiliate links, rather than only here.
